Spookfish is pleased to announce that a leading international property analytics group has entered into an evaluation agreement with Spookfish to enable it to review the Company’s technology and evaluate the merits of entering into a commercial agreement prior to the scheduled Generation One commercial launch for lighthouse customers later in 2015.
This leading international property analytics group collects and maintains the largest, most comprehensive property and related financial databases in its core geographic markets. Such property and analytics data is widely used by three broad groups with exposure to the property sector including:
- Buyers, sellers and investors in property;
- Real estate agents, property developers and finance professionals; and
- Banking and finance, insurance, corporates and government
With such comprehensive population coverage requirements, similar to those of State and Federal Governments and many major industries including insurance, logistics, telecommunications, utilities and navigation, the ability to provide reliable, current, cost effective, very high resolution imagery, country-wide and all from one supplier is particularly appealing.
Spookfish will engage with evaluation customers by sharing data initially from the testing of its Generation One system, which is scheduled for commercial launch later in 2015.
The capabilities being developed for the large scale, wide-area Spookfish Generation Two system scheduled for launch in 2016, will not only provide reliable, cost effective, current and very high resolution imagery, but also provide country-wide coverage in 2D and 3D, and digital elevation models, all processed from the same capture program using a high performance aircraft and camera system solely optimised for this purpose.
By engaging with customers early, Spookfish has generated significant interest in its technology capabilities and is now able to refine its offering and systems with key participants in core geospatial markets both in Australia and overseas prior to its commercial launch.
Spookfish now has pre-contract evaluation agreements with major Australian and international participants in most key geospatial data markets including travel, military, insurance, utilities and state-owned infrastructure, solar, construction, civil engineering and property, with discussions ongoing with other potential evaluation customers and strategic partners.
The range and scale of industries interested in evaluating the Spookfish technology illustrates the enormous and broad market demand for capabilities not currently being provided reliably, cost effectively and on such a scale.
In relation to the signing of the evaluation agreement with this global property analytics group, Spookfish Executive Chairman, Jason Marinko, commented, “We were very excited to be approached by this evaluation partner earlier in the year to scope out our wide-area coverage capabilities for both their Australian and overseas operations and it is satisfying that these discussions have now led to the signing of an evaluation agreement. We look forward to working with another international leader in a core geospatial sector to enable them to evaluate our capabilities in anticipation of our commercial launch.”
